Robots integrated with your machines, control systems and production. From feasibility studies to trials in your workshop.
Engineering, programming and commissioning.

ESTUN technology. Vanguard integration.
One point of contact to connect the robot with your process, cell safety and teams.
Vanguard’s scope
From study to production cell.
Start with a study, a new cell or an existing installation to take over. Each quotation defines equipment, interfaces, deliverables and trials.

Robotics feasibility study
Check gripping, cycle time and layout before selecting a robot and pricing the cell.
Scope and deliverables
Robot cell integration
Specify and integrate the robot, tooling, automation and equipment that make up your cell.
Scope and deliverables
Cell retrofit and takeover
Modify an existing cell after reviewing programs, interfaces and safety conditions.
Scope and deliverables
Robot programming and cycle measurement
Program motions and sequences, then measure the complete cycle, including waiting and recovery.
Scope and deliverables01 / Your production
Which operation do you want to automate?

Palletising and depalletising
Stack cases, bags or totes at the end of the line. The project connects the gripper, conveyors and pallet patterns to your production requirements.
Explore this application
Machine tending
Load and unload a machining centre, lathe or another production machine. The cell coordinates part gripping, doors, clamping and machine states.
Explore this application
Robotic welding
Repeat weld seams on fixtured parts. Integration combines the robot, torch, power source and positioner with the selected welding process.
Explore this application
Material handling and part transfer
Move, orient and place parts between workstations. Arm selection starts with actual gripping requirements and interfaces to conveyors, presses or inspection stations.
Explore this application02 / ESTUN robots
An arm suited to the work.
Part geometry, carried load, path and operating environment guide the selection.

6-axis articulated robots
Articulated arms for machine tending, part orientation and process paths. The models shown cover small and medium payloads.
18 documented models
4-axis SCARA robots
4-axis robots for picking, orienting and placing parts within a planar workspace. Several payloads and vertical strokes are documented.
24 documented models
Palletizing robots
Dedicated 4-axis arms for palletizing cartons, bags and grouped loads. The selected models cover maximum payloads from 60 to 500 kg.
9 documented models
Welding robots
Hollow-wrist arms for routing welding dress packs. The two selected models carry 8 kg, with reaches of 1,445 and 2,015 mm.
2 documented models
Collaborative robots
ECO and PRO cobots cover handling, assembly and machine-tending tasks. The documented PRO versions use torque sensors; check the configuration for each generation.
8 documented models
High-payload robots
Industrial arms for handling heavy workpieces and large assemblies. European models and global catalogue additions are distinguished, with their axis counts and selection conditions.
34 documented modelsArticulated arms, SCARA, palletising, welding, specific environments and collaborative robots.

Make the whole cell work.
The project covers interfaces between the robot, tooling, machines and operators. We define them during the study and verify them during trials.
Our integration methodLausanne, Switzerland

Define the process and acceptance criteria
We record parts, volumes, cycle times and plant constraints. The specification defines what the cell must do and how acceptance will be measured.
Study the robot, gripping and layout
Selection checks total payload, centre of gravity, inertia, paths and access. Simulation or gripping trials address uncertainties before hardware is finalised.
Define interfaces and safety
Robot, PLC, vision, machine and peripherals follow a defined sequence. Risk assessment covers the complete cell. Responsibilities, protective measures and required validation are identified in the project scope.
Program and test sequences
We prepare robot programs and automation interfaces included in the contract. Trials cover the normal cycle, agreed formats, faults and production recovery.

ESTUN, ABB or FANUC?
We integrate ESTUN and compare options against production needs. Payload and reach are a starting point. Trials, interfaces and support complete the assessment.
Project questions
Before choosing a robot.
Who is Vanguard Robotics?
Vanguard Robotics is the robotics vertical of Vanguard Systems. We plan and integrate robot cells for Swiss industrial sites, with a contact for the process, automation and commissioning.
What is your relationship with ESTUN?
Vanguard Systems is an ESTUN integration partner in Switzerland. We specify the robot and equipment for your application, then the integration scope and acceptance trials.
Do you work on existing installations?
Yes. The study starts with an inventory of equipment, controllers, backups and interfaces. Changes and intervention scope are confirmed after this review.
How much does a robot cell cost?
Pricing depends on the robot, gripper, process equipment, protective measures, interfaces and trials. Send part details, required throughput and a plant layout to scope an initial study.
How long does a project take?
The schedule depends on engineering, procurement and the available shutdown window. We specify it alongside scope and validation points. A catalogue lead time is not a delivery commitment for the complete cell.
Can a cobot operate without guarding?
That must be assessed for the complete application. The gripper, part, movements and operator interactions may require protective measures. Selecting a cobot does not remove the need for this assessment.
How is return on investment assessed?
We start with your volumes, cycle times, operating hours and recorded costs. The calculation also includes consumables, maintenance, changeovers and planned downtime. Assumptions remain explicit.
